Prohibited and Restricted Cargo

To prevent delays or complications, please review the following list of items that are either not accepted for transport or subject to specific conditions. It is also important to understand which goods fall outside our warranty cover.

Prohibited Items

The following goods are strictly forbidden and will not be transported under any circumstances. Attempting to send these items may result in cancellation of your booking without refund and possible notification of relevant authorities.
Cash and negotiable instruments

These goods may be transported, provided all requirements are met. Failure to comply may result in refusal, delays, or ineligibility for claims.
Lithium batteries (Class 9 dangerous goods)

Perishable goods
Items such as food, seafood, meat, dairy, and frozen products are accepted only if suitable packaging and delivery timeframes maintain product quality. Temperature-controlled transport must be arranged separately, and no liability is accepted for spoilage.
Plants and living organisms
These may require permits and must comply with biosecurity regulations. Acceptance depends on the courier’s approval.
Tobacco and vaping products
Transport is subject to state and federal laws, as well as courier-specific policies. Some routes may be restricted.

Insurance and Warranty Exclusions

Items excluded from all cover
Goods with uncertain value
Claims cannot be processed for items with unverifiable or subjective value, including antiques, artwork, collectables, and one-of-a-kind goods.
Personal and household items
These are transported without compensation cover, as condition and value cannot be reliably assessed.
Indirect losses
The warranty only applies to direct physical loss or damage. It does not cover delays, missed deliveries, or consequential losses such as loss of income or market value.
Inadequate packaging
Claims will be declined if packaging is deemed insufficient or not compliant with recognised standards, particularly for fragile goods, liquids, or glass items.
Pre-existing damage
If there is no clear evidence that damage occurred during transit, claims may be rejected unless the prior condition can be proven.

Making a Claim

Timeframes for reporting
Who can submit a claim?
Only the party who arranged and paid for the shipment may lodge a claim. Recipients should contact the sender to proceed.
Steps to lodge a claim
  1. Notify Blue Courier via email as soon as possible  
  2. Take clear photographs of packaging, contents, and labels  
  3. Gather all supporting documents (invoices, proof of delivery, repair quotes)  
  4. Complete the claim form as directed
